Teaching Blogs Galore!

I had no idea how huge the world of teaching blogs really is until I started one, but it's a great thing. I was so flattered to find out that three fellow teachers/bloggers noticed and recognized my new blog! I want to give a shout out and thank you to Katie for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award! I also want to thank Shanell and Janna for nominating me for the Liebster Award. It took a while to figure out who I'd like to nominate for these awards, but it's easy to see that the blogs below are more than deserving! Be sure to check them out.

Here are the seven rules to follow when receiving this award:

  2. Thank you for stopping by my blog!! One newbie to another! Isn't this blogging world insane? I had no idea what I was missing! There are many blogs you mentioned above that I haven't seen, so I will have to check them out.

It was interesting reading your posts and your blog is adorable!! Is it true that you have 70 min. to teach just writing? That is amazing! I have an 80 min. ELA block (we switch classes and have three leveled groups). In the ELA block, we do reading, writing, spelling, grammar, all of it! Our day is 7:40-2:55 (kids start arriving at 7:40). It is such a long day, especially for the K-2 kids and we still don't seem to have enough time! Last year especially, we started having one hour pull out times where the classroom teachers teach AIS (academic intervention services) and the rest of the students who don't need AIS were supposed to go to "study hall"....we switched that to "topics of study" to teach more social studies and science enrichment lessons because there is no time! Well, sorry for such a long post! I will be back to read your blog often:)

    1. Yes, it is a long writing block, and our reading teacher has 70 minutes also, but fourth reading and writing are both tested (separately!) through our state standardized test. :/
